The H-C Design & Consulting process begins by meeting your project’s stakeholders, including any owners, administrative staff, and personnel. Once we thoroughly understand the venture's needs, vision and objectives, we apply our knowledge of the latest industry trends to design a contemporary, sustainable kitchen plan. We maintain progress review documents to for direction at each milestone of the project. After client approval, our designers draft Revit based conceptual, schematic and construction documents. We believe this allows you, the client, to more tangibly experience the spatial arrangement and working flow of the plan.
From the first consultation past substantial competition, we are dedicated to coordinate every intricate detail.
After determining your goals and objectives, we can develop everything from your project’s design criteria to your customer profile, volume summary, menu format, service concept and cost parameters. Once the entire foodservice program is established, we create a schematic design and equipment list.
Your design takes shape during intense coordination between project architects, engineers and your representatives. If desired, we can evaluate and incorporate your existing usable equipment into the design before developing an equipment plan and schedule. We also help with local Health Department reviews and approvals.
We prepare mechanical and electrical spot connection plans; organize final equipment plans, schedules, specifications, and fabricated equipment detail drawings; and create comprehensive specification manuals.
For design collaboration projects, we prepare master specification documentation and respond to bidders’ questions and substitution requests quickly and thoroughly. Addendum and RFI coordinated intensively between the design team.
For end user projects, we prepare RFP documents as a complete package to solicit to qualified equipment providers and installers. We manage, compile and assemble spreadsheets with bidder's information and products for final decisions by the project’s representatives.
Our detailed administration services ensure the job is done right. H-C Design will review contractor submittals and shop drawings to the design intent within the final bidding set. We address Requests For Information, Bulletin and Project Requests in a timely manner. At substantial completion, we thoroughly inspect the equipment installation and foodservice areas, photograph then provide detailed final punch list items for review.
From concept to construction and installation, H-C Design delivers detailed service. We verify pre-slab rough-ins as well as electrical and mechanical rough-ins. To set your mind at ease about the equipment and its installation, we also offer pre-equipment installation meetings.
